Why, Hello good sir!

“Oh I’m off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of oz”.

Just kidding, (though it would be cool to see him, even though he was a clever fraud.) actually I went to see my grandmother so that she can feed me cookies and tell me how I am getting old and need to get married soon. I love time with grandma! There are only so many cookies and old maid horror stories that one can handle, so I excused myself to meet a friend in the center of town. We ended up doing adult stuff like climbing trees and talking to statues.

Of course doing this I needed to wear some colorful and fun jewelry. Since grandma lives in Connecticut I thought purple shorts made sense.(CT is ultimate prep wear state) I couldn’t be completely typical though so I made sure to layer myself with a colorful enamel necklace and then a handmade crystal costume necklace. I put on an old gold watch so my grandmother would think I was not completely unsophisticated but then added a crazy 14kt geometric amethyst ring so she would still have some doubt. Hope you enjoy the outfits and antics!

Life would be easier as a monkey, I think

Don’t mind me grandma, I am practicing my posture.

Sometimes you just have to smile and enjoy life!

You don’t have to be all matchy matchy with your colors. If you have the same color metal you can wear different shades of stones. .

Haha, I am reading this and laughed because I grew up in CT (and my parents still live there), but I never thought of my home state as “ultimate prep” (and I was a Fairfield County girl at that)! I always love reading about how other people view it though because while there are some pretty upscale areas, there are also some really redneck/hillbilly areas where you might catch a few residents on peopleofwalmart.com.
Regardless, your outfit is adorable, you are adorable, and I hope you love CT enough to want to spend more time there! Honestly, I didn’t truly appreciate it until I moved away and now I miss it quite terribly!
Looks like you had a blast while there though, so yay!
    Enjoy your weekend!

Haha Hi Amanda, Yes you are right CT is super diverse and in the northern area its really hillbilly but every time I go to Fairfield County I feel like I am surrounded by guys named Chip who wear orange shorts. lol @ the peopleofwalmart yes I think you are right about that too! I hope you had a good weekend too:)

Hi Anna, I didnt think about that but you are right you could probably buy some enamel and make your own necklaces with gold chains. Thanks for the though!
